what we do

Stepping UP Youth Project manage a programme of different projects for different age groups from midday until the late evening. All activities unless otherwise stated, take place at the Concorde Centre for Young People on Kingsmead Estate.

In partnership with other organisations, we offer high quality activities that young people choose and enjoy.  

The programme includes:

  • Music Dj'ing, Mc'ing and building a sound system
  • Employment skills
  • Cooking
  • Video production
  • Personal, social and health education
  • Dance
  • Trips and days out
  • Chilling out with friends
  • Free play
  • Organized sports
  • Information Technology
  • Residentials
  • Arts Numeracy, literacy and key skills support

Working Together

All our work with children and young people is conducted on an individual or group work basis. Where approriate we have developed partnerships involving other groups in the Hackney area to deliver this work.

Flourishing

Stepping Up Youth Project works with children, young people and where appropriate their parents and carers to maximising opportunities to develop, and enable flourishing and success.
