Stepping
Up Youth Project works with young people aged 8 years to 24 years.
- We recognise that if unemployment and low educational
attainment levels are to be improved, it is critical that preventative
work with young people between the ages of 8-11 years must be a priority, through strategic support.
- Stepping Up Youth Project is currently developing
work with parents, carers and children as young as 8 years old who have
demonstrated high levels of under achievement.
- While young people more than any other social
group are often victims of crime, Stepping Up Youth recognise
that young people aged 11-24 years achieving low educational attainment
or unemployed are identified as being at risk of engaging in criminal
activities.
- Stepping Up Youth Project is currently developing
work with young people identified as at risk of offending, by members
of the community, youth support members and other organisations and
the young people themselves.
