research
Research
is a critical element of the work of Hackney Marsh Partnership. It is
important because it enables us to be better informed about the context
for much of our work. This richer understanding also helps us to prioritise
work.
Current
research projects include:
- Kingsmead Community Research
A major oral history project of Kingsmead estate. This project
will create a community archive, telling the story of this once notorious
estate. To find out more go to history project on the right-hand menu.
- Hackney Marsh Neighbourhood Research:
A report commissioned by Hackney Marsh Partnership management committee
into the issues and concerns impacting on people locally and the impact
of the work of Hackney Marsh Partnership projects locally. The report
focuses on the Homerton, Kings Park and Wick ward context. It explores
the implications of base line indicators and feedback from people.
- Advice Provision in East Hackney:
Commissioned in January 2002 this report highlights the complex issues
and challenges surrounding welfare rights and advice provision in
East Hackney - including Homerton, Wick and Kings Park ward. The report
by Andy Benson was commissioned by the management committee and included
recommendations for Hackney Marsh Partnership's advice service - East
Hackney Legal and Advice Work.
