Our work aims to bring measurable improvement to the quality of life locally - and, in the process, for people involved to flourish and succeed.

Our emphasis is on building relationships with people locally. We want to be able to respond best to the needs of the community.

Our focus is currently Kingsmead estate and the surrounding neighbourhoods in Kings Park ward.

Hackney Marsh Partnership Community Development works with people in Kingsmead estate and the surrounding neighbourhoods to:

• Achieve their economic educational social and spiritual potential
• Develop projects and services that tackle poverty, prejudice and powerlessness
• Develop appropriate services to meet the needs of local residents
• Foster active partnerships with individuals, community groups, statutory services and the private sector in pursuit of the above.

We work with people to develop projects, services and resources, which are:

• Local - accessible and on the door step
• Long term - where appropriate we plan for a longer term presence
• Sustainable - able to survive in a harsh funding climate
